Application Activities in Science IDEAS consist of student individual or group projects that involve extensions of concepts learned in multi-day lessons.
Primarily, such projects can take various forms. Some examples of types of projects are:
- Student-generated extensions of hands-on classroom experiments
- Internet-based identification of additional information on a selected science concept(s)
- Reading and reporting additional information on school-available books and other resources on selected science concept(s).
In Science IDEAS classrooms, all student application projects are displayed for (e.g., bulletin boards) inspection by and/or reported to classmates.
