This section presents a series of research studies showing the effects of the grade 1-2 Primary Science IDEAS model on Science and Reading achievement. The majority of studies focus on the direct effect of the model in grades 1-2. In addition, one recent study investigated the transfer effects from grade 1-2 to grade 3. Overall, all of the studies demonstrated the positive effects of the Primary Science IDEAS model on science and reading achievement.
